PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on Friday expressed his pleasure at fine developments in the strategic partnership between Việt Nam and Japan while recieving President of Japan-Việt Nam Economic Committee Kato Susumu in Hanoi on July 1.
Japan is now one of Việt Nam’s biggest trade and investment partners. The two countries’ two-way trade value still increased despite adverse conditions. The Northeast Asian country has still maintained a high degree of official development assistance for Việt Nam.
Việt Nam, as PM Dũng said, is actively deploying cooperative programs and projects in partnership with Japan, including the agreements on energy, seaports, and green development.
The Government chief voiced Việt Nam’s support for cooperation initatives between the two strategic partners.
Mr. Kato Susumu thanked the Southeast Asian country for its valuable assistance to the Japanese people in averting recent earthquakes and tsunami consequences.
He said that Japan stands ready to share its experience relating to reforming customs procedures, building seaports and power plants, and developing environmentally-friendly technologies.
