(Security - Defence) - A Singaporean naval vessel with 226 officers and sailors aboard anchored at Tien Sa Port in the central city of Da Nang on September 21 for a six-day visit to the city.

The ship’s crew was received by leaders of the municipal People’s Committee, the Foreign Department at the Ministry of National Defence, Vietnam’s Naval Command, Naval High Command Zone 3, the municipal Military High Command, Border Guard High Command and Department of Foreign Affairs.

They are scheduled to pay courtesy visits to the municipal People’s Committee, the High Command for Military Zone 5 and representatives from Vietnam’s Naval High Command.

The Singaporean crew will play volleyball with Vietnamese sailors, visit a Vietnamese Navy ship and take a tour of Da Nang City.

The ship also handed over equipment for Vietnamese landing craft.
