(Prime Minister Activities) - Tanzania attaches importance to consolidating and enhancing relations with Viet Nam, affirmed President Ali Mohamed Shein of Tanzania’s semi-autonomous region Zanzibar during his meeting with PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Friday.

He expressed his hope that Viet Nam would share its experiences in national development, especially in poverty reduction and boost agriculture and forestry cooperation with Tanzania.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Government, PM Dung spoke highly of President Ali Mohamed Shein’s visit to the Southeast Asian nation. The Government chief took the occasion to thank Tanzania for its support during the past national struggle for independence and the current cause of national development.

PM Dung stressed that Viet Nam also desires to strengthen ties with Tanzania in various fields.

Both sides agreed to continue boosting exchange of delegations at all levels to beef up bilateral cooperation, particularly in agriculture and forestry areas, facilitate business circles to expand investment into respective countries.

They also agreed to accelerate coordination and mutual support at international forums.

Earlier on the same day, President Ali Mohamed Shein held talks with Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan./.
