(Prime Minister's Opinion) - PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday requested ministries, agencies and localities to closely control prices and fees of essential goods and services and input materials for production to ensure market stabilization for the rest of the year.

Under Directive 25/CT-TTg, the ministries, agencies and localities are requested to prevent trade frauds and cross-border smuggling especially of petrol, cigarette and minerals.

The Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training and provincial People’s Committees extend the deadlines for the adjustment of healthcare, education, clean water and public transportation service fees.

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) regulate oil price strictly in line with Decree 84/2009/ND-CP, dated on October 15, 2009 to ensure stable supply and reduce price hikes.

Electricity prices will be adjusted in accordance with market rules under the supervision of the State to support inflation curbing as well as macro-economic stabilization.

The MoIT works with related ministries, agencies and localities to reserve goods, ensure the balance of demand and supply especially for the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.

The MoIT is also responsible for accelerating production and business; stimulating consumption power; reduce inventory level; implementing the “Buy Viet Nam” campaign, controlling imports especially discouraging goods.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development assists breeding and aquatic cultivation and develop rice storage depot in the Mekong Delta.
